I purchased this bag for a June trip to Washington DC. I expected to use it primarily to put my metal items, keys, coins, watch, etc while going through airport security. Last time I flew I forgot a small coin in my pocket and they put me in a GLASS cage (barefoot) waiting to be wanded and cleared. Did not want to go through that again. Wife is still laughing. Anyway I just put the bag in the basket and no problems going through security. What I did not expect was to carry this bag everywhere with me in DC. All the federal buildings have Airport type screen so I found leaving everything in the bag helped me get through all the security. Also the large front zippered pocket was the perfect size to carry the "Eyewitness Top 10 Travel Guide" book. Top 10 Washington DC (Eyewitness Top 10 Travel Guides) We referred often to this guide while trying to make sense of the DC Metro subway system. The bag was small but was mighty handy. It is also easy to change it from a carry bag to a "fanny pack" style bag. Easy to shorten the strips to make it fit around your middle. I am not a skinny person, could bearly snap on the airplane seat belt. Anyway, Just a geat little bag, oh, used the very small front zippered front pocket for the DC Metro card and the inside zippered pockect for extra cash. Well thought out and a very useful bag.

After reading about several different bags, I finally chose the Compass Bag. It's everything I hoped it would be. The materials and zippers are sturdy and give the bag a confident feel. The shoulder strap fits comfortably over the shoulder and is adjustable to keep the bag as close to you as you like. The smaller carry strap is what I use most often to grab the bag out of my scooter's trunk and carry it into the office. It easily fits my Kindle with its padded folder. A pocket inside the large storage area holds my ID and flash drive so they don't get lost in there. 8.5 x 11 documents folded in half fit in there as well; they must be folded in quarters to fit the zippered flap pocket in front. I keep my earbuds in the smaller front pocket but don't really use the other two zippered pockets. It should be perfect to carry on my next flight to keep everything I need right at hand.
